BearsTrail-Season has started

Our New Years-Guests are back home since a few days. We had 2 groups for the short-program with daytrips only plus 3 groups with cabin-overnight. The traditional torch-hike to Lake Puuruu was guided this time by Julian, Moritz and Timber. Great food, motivated dogs and a taff working, harmonic team made the hectic days pass by very fast and easy.

And by now, the Bears Trail Season has started as well. Despite 1 third of the crew is actually sick and in bad shape, 2 groups started out today to the cabin. Guided by Helena and Gabriel, Julia as cabin-keeper, a good team up there to take care of the guests and dogs. Happy Trail wishes from the office!

Lisa and Alex have left us on January 2nd. Their 3,5 months volunteering have passed much too fast. As "extra-bag" travelling with them: youngster Oskar, who will now - after his 2 (!) stomach operations - start a new life as housedog with them. Once again to all those 3: have a good time together, all the best for your future, and of course a huge Thank you to Lisa & Alex for their support here!

As a replacement for them, Stefan arrived 3 days ago. If you have followed us already many years ago, you might remember him, as he was here already twice. His presentation on the team-pages will follow soon, he was too busy getting back into the new kennels and found no time yet to write his text.

The sun is still very low, but we enjoy every moment seeing her through the trees or on the lake. Temperatures are stil very much up and down: last guest arrivals at -28C, today 0C. But at least we finally got again a fresh layer of snow to make the concrete-hard, icy trails again a bit softer. Mountain Trail is opened, Zimmerman Trail will follow soon, to make sure we have the complete trail net open for the first Ruunaa-Trail in week 4.
