Days are coming and going - again 2 weeks passed really fast and we are approaching Midsummer. It's not getting dark anymore and fatigue comes only when one works hard the whole day building kennel elements or cutting wood. The first brave Finns have been in the lake already - we prefer to wait a bit longer. But many of us are already on the water a lot, paddling in the beautiful evening light. And - big respect - the pool-crew from the old kennels has been in the water already to build up the dog-pool again. And the dogs appreciate it a lot and have a lot of fun. The dogs from the new kennels finally also will get their lake-pool. The planning was just a bit more complicated, due to the longer stretch to the water line and the soft, sandy ground there. But now the plans are ready and we will start in the next days.
A group of 8 has been here for canoeing. Also some individual paddlers who needed just transfers. Now it is time to prepare the guestrooms and then the real guest-season can start on June 16th. Until then we will not be bored... there are still some more preparations to be done.
The 4 puppies of Tosca (Milka, Findus, Riku and Kalle) are growing fast and will be powerful dogs. The movements still look a biti clumpsy, but with only 4 weeks of age this is normal. The 5 puppies from Mulan (Wilma, Thilda, Fjella, Oskar and Lilleman) are a bit smaller and not yet so brave and curious. Also they still prefer the milk of mama instead of the meat and dryfood. The litters of Talvi, Susi and Happy have not yet been named and therefor are not yet in the dogs galery. The 9 of Talvi will be online unti mid-June. The 6 of Susi and the 10 of Happy have a bit more time, as they are the youngest and eyes are still closed. By the way: the most recent pictures you always find on our facebook-pages.
