Officially, summer has started now! We celebrated Midsummer during a midnight-hiking around the Lakes Änäkäinen with 9 guests. The photos show how impressively light the nights are here, allthough the sun disappears for a short while.
From the dog-side, we can inform that all Laverda-Pups are now close to 2 kilos heavy, all eyes open and they all get more and more active, exploring their whelping-box. Of course sleeping is still the most important during all days. Next litter we expect from Aida & Dandy and are getting a bit impatient to see, how many will come.
Naiche, a 10 year old, soon retired working female, has found a nice home for her old days ins Switzerland. After one week hiking and overnighting in the guesthouse, she joined her new owners straight on Saturday and flew to Switzerland, where she already enjoys her new live.
Our hunting for the red lake perch is rather successfull! Last Thursday we could serve own catched fish to 16 persons for dinner. Not bad for beginners, not really being THE passionate fishing-people...
On Wednesday the last 2 clients are leaving and we will profit from a guest-free week to do all the little things that have to be done. 4200 kilos of new aluminium-kennel-elements will be delivered the same day - means we have plenty of work to fill our days, replacing the old wooden elements by the new ones.
