There is nothing that we would miss at the moment! Nice fresh snow during the last days made the trails perfectly soft. Really cold and clear nights follow sunny days. Excited guests, motivated dogs, everything is fine at the moment in those weeks! For once only a little amount of text in the news, but only pictures which speak for themselves and a feedback taken from our guestbook, one of many that makes us proud!
"Last week me and my friend Grietje were enjoying the Bears Trail at Eräkeskus. I was looking forward to that one week for more than 3 months, to step out of the busy city culture for a while, into the quiet nature of North Karelia. I had never done anything like that before, and it was even the first time that I actually took a winter vacation in stead of a summer holiday, but nevertheless this trip far exceeded all my expectations. There I was, finally standing on the sled myself, after seeing so many videos on Youtube from other people who had done a similar trip. The feeling that I got every time I untied the sled and the dogs started working and the sled came into motion is impossible to describe in words, I think all of you know what I mean. Also I enjoyed your friendliness and hospitality from the moment we arrived. Everyone does a great job looking after the 140 dogs in the kennels, you can see that the dogs are happy and seeing so many happy dogs makes me feel happy too. Now that I am back home, most of all I remember my four-legged friends: Arpat, Laverda, Mike, Tequilla and Geronimo."
