Real summer in Karelia

While summer in almost whole Central Europe is not acting like real summer, we cannot complain here at all. Temperatures around 30 degrees are quite common, rain is falling regularly, just as much as we need, and the lake temperature is actually more than 24 degrees.

Once more, our guided paddling trips with canoe or kajak are the top-seller of the season. At the moment, the water level in the smaller rivers is already decreasing a bit, but still all rivers are perfectly ok for paddling.

Our birds on the yard are having babies again. 3 nests are full with young birds and we are waiting for their first flights.  Behind the staff house, under the roof of the lodge and in the wood-barn, the young birds are fed at the moment.

During the next weekend, 13th/14th July, we are moving our webpages to a new server. Some short term problems with webpage-access and e-mails may occur - thanks for your understanding.
