The forests are changing colours, cranberries are getting ready, the first mushrooms can be picked and temperatures are on nice levels again. In other words: autumn has started!
During the last days we still had several guided hiking trips on our program, from 1-day-hikes up to 4-day-hikes on the Karhunpolku-trail and in the area of Ruunaa. As we could see then, many trees have fallen in the storms of the last days, and some of them have of course fallen all over our winter trails. This to make sure, we are not getting bored before first snow arrives.
Right now we relax a bit for 3 days without guests, before we start into the last weeks of our summer season. Yes, we call it "summer" until 15.9. 
The dog training is already in our minds, but we did not yet start. During the days it is still a bit too warm and too humid and of course we do not train in the night, when our guests want to sleep. But the tension is rising... how will the pups from last year do in harness?
The winter-team is almost ready. Today we expect Alex here, who was biking since beginning of May from Mannheim/Germany up to here. Then later, there is only Jonathan left, who will join our team from November on. Winter 14/15 we will start with a routined team of 7.
