First frost nights

A short update before the weekend:

We had the first frost nights, but still the birch trees are full with yellow leaves ad the forest ground is covered with red blueberry-bushes. Still powerful Indian Summer colors, but sadly during the last days a rather grey, cloudy weather. It seems like we get now a lot from the rain, what was missing here during the summer months.

Next week we start the first 2-day-trainings with overnight in a windshelter. A nice change for dogs and us, after having run more or less always similar training loops during the last 3 weeks.

Yesterday - even it was a rainy, wet day - we managed to train all the dogs from both kennels. More than 1400 km were added to our training-journal. Today now all dogs get a rest-day and most of them also a fresh bone, as we got a big delivery yesterday.

Our 3 swedish ladies, Ronja, Hanna and Simona, have done now already more than half of her practical stay here and are integrated in the daily life, almost like "normal" team-members.They are leaving on October 24th, going back to Sweden to continue their education as dogtrainer in Gamleby.

Next news hopefully with nice pictures from overnight-trainings with our Musher-Workshop- and Indian-Summer-guests.
