Musher-Workshop

Nobody can complain about not enough training... not the dogs, not the team and not our musher-workshop-guests. When morning-temperature is at -17 degrees, then training is also a rather cold thing and dogs and humans enjoy a warm soup after the run. Dogs first, of course! Today we have only mild -3 degrees and 7 cm of fresh snow.

The trained distances get longer, power and endurance of the dogs is increasing. After 1 month of regular training, we can now clearly see, which one of the older dogs will be happily running still on tours, and which one prefers to do only the training-days here. According to this we have now 3 power-classes: tour-dogs, daytrip-dogs and of course the Oldies.

4 teams have been on overnight-training so far. Team nbr 5 was scheduled for today, but because of wet rain-snow yesterday we have postponed this trip for the good of everybody involved.  There will be more possibilities for this kind of intense training with better conditions later.

The main building got new lights. Tables in the restaurant are new and the guest rooms got an upgrade. So let's start the winter-season soon - we can't wait for mid-December!

From February 7th to 14th, Saturday - Saturday, we have 2 places left for a "Bordertrail special" with longer distances than usual and driving to new areas. If you are a repeater and are interested in this tour, take contact with us! Otherwise there are not many places left during the high season from beginning of February to mid-March. If you are still thinking about joining us for a tour this winter, then better think fast!
