Soon 2 more weeks gone and the first signs of Spring are here. Day-temperatures a bit over zero C, a few little snowfalls and more and more singing birds in the trees show us, that spring is waiting, not far away anymore.
Last week it was too wet and too warm in the nights, which made us shorten all week-trips by one cabin-overnight to avoid our dogs having to sleep in wet straw-beds. Now the night-temperatures are below zero again, the beds can be kept dry and it looks like we can run all 4 tours during this week normally. But we have to admit that spring will be here earlier this year than it is in other, normal years.
Beginning of February we started our new "Adopt-a-Dog"-program and by now Tundra, Attla, Leo, Sputnik, Karhu and Arpad are proud to have a god-mother or god-father. If you have been here earlier and still remember your favourite dog, want to adopt him or her, you are welcome to contact us for further information!
Next weekend we get 3 more brandnew sleds, handmade in Lappland. This to make sure that also our late-winter-guests can still start on tour with perfect material! Erik will drive up to Lappland to get them and we wish him a safe drive already today!
