First signs of spring...

Well, we do not yet have real spring time here. But in 12 days, our first group arrives and until then we hopefully have warmer and more sunny days. Right now with a lot of rain and temperatures from 10 - 14 degrees C, it's not really what we want for ourselves and clearly not what we wish for our summer-guests.

Preparations for summer-season are on their peak. The winter-cabins are almost all cleaned-up and the old straw taken back. New paddling-equipment arrived. The big shopping day for new furnitures in guesthouse and lodge is ready planned on paper an will take place next week. Sand, gravel and wood for our summer-projects are ordered. Architect and construction company work hard on getting plans and licenses for the new planned new construction.

Our "pups" are getting bigger every week. Long legged, good looking youngsters. They enjoy their daily run-out in the forests where - thanks to high-water-levels everywhere - they can now run through water where later in summer will be no more water. Many lake- and river-shore-parts are under water, they love this exciting wet thing everywhere!

Sanne and Erik left yesterday to find a new challenge further up north. Our female "Toni" had stolen their heart already soon after arriving here in fall 2013, so Toni now left with them. We wish her and her 2 new owners an interesting summer and good luck with all new challenges!
