Musher-Workshop, Trainingstart and Building Projects

"... sure we have Northern Lights here!" This is our answer on the frequently asked question, it we are too much "south" to see them. The night October 7th/8th was so far the most intense during this winter. For more than 6 hours the Northern Lights were visible in the dark sky... until we all got too cold and went to bed.

Mornings with minus degrees, clear sky, first sunshine and first frozen, silver shining ground, are just marvellous at the moment. Autumn from its best side! And this autumn we even found a rainbow, hanging in the forests! Funny!

Training this year was started in the Old Kennels. Guest Sandra from the Musher-Workshop-week, was driving already several "own" teams with the atv without motor. Weather forecast says, it will be a bit "warmer" again, up to 9 degrees during daytime, but we are optimistic, that thanks to the rather late training start this year, we can now keep them running without interruption, caused by wet or too warm weather.

Our big building projects from this summer are coming to an end. Project "Red House" was finally finished today. The house got a new basement, was balanced again correctly and got a new shower room. Project "Staff House" will soon be coming to an end, only some inside works left, once the floor inside has completely dried out. Seen from outside, it looks like ready to move in and we think it looks just great and fits perfectly well into the picture of the surroundings.

Last but not least: 6 "new ones" have arrived and are already learning - a lot! They will all be presented in their own words with a picture on our team-pages here on the website. Welcome Martina, Melanie, Sandra, Daniel, Frank and Marco! We are happy to have you here!
