The landscape is still covered with snow and ice. As the nights are still mostly showing minus degrees, the sun and plusdegrees during daytime is not yet enough to bring winter to an end and have spring/summer here. We try to be patient - it will come, sooner or later!
Since last weekend we have 2 new pack-members: Goa and Nella, 2 Siberian Husky sisters from the west coast, coming from a race- and tourist-kennel. They now get used to our system, mostly sitting on their "bench with a view", observing kennels and lake or they relax in their big doghouse.
And our own pups are growing fast. The biggest one now has almost 2 kilos. They get more and more interested in what is happening outside their house, appetit is growing as well. During this week we will bring Lumi to an ultrasound in Lieksa, checking if she is pregnant as well, happy father of those will be Mogly. And if not, we still have the breeding of Dandy & Taivas for later this summer. Ultrasound here is planned not before week 20.
And to be sure we never ever get bored, even with all those puppies, we now decided about the projects for this summer: on the list we have a BBQ-Kota, a wood-sauna on the lakeside, new furniture for part of the guest rooms and of course a lot of smaller things that always needs to be done during summer. We try to be efficient and bring the big projects to an end during summer, to make sure latest our autumn-guests can start using them.
