2. Advent and more snow

Slowly but certainly the snowcover in our area is growing and the first sled-trails are open. Sadly it is not covering all areas with the same thickness and parts of the trail still have wood, rocks and bushes looking out from under the snow. Means we continue to open more new trails and find driveable distances, always check back on our standard trails and make daily sled-rides possible. With a bit of luck we can cross the big Puuruu-Lake within 2 days by sleds and scooter and that would be a perfect addition to the now open trails.

Our last 3 Musher-Workshop-Guests, who arrived last Saturday, have been on the sleds already 2 days and have some 50 km of sled-kilometers on their counter. When it gets dark (pretty soon actually in the afternoon), we prepare more sleds and more lines to be ready by mid-December!

Final Countdown... official tour-season-opening on December 15th! Simone will be on another short week-holiday and miss the opening by a few days. Frank & Mandela are expected here on December 20th. Cäsar (wildnerness guide in education) is here since 10 days, already a strong member of our team and he will fully experience the first week of the season. And last but not least, Caro (again) and Melissa (new) will join the team also by December 20th to support us during the high-season for 6 - 12 weeks.

We would appreciate to get 20 cm of more fresh snow within the coming days... wondering what "mother Hulda" is doing up there and if she will remember us in time...
