Autumn starts!

Temperatures: often below 10 degrees C, during the day rarely over 20 degrees C

Mushrooms: growing! our favourite types can be collected now

Berries: still plenty of blueberries in the forests, added now by the red, tasty cranberries. Plenty of healthy refreshments during hiking trips

Colours: coming, slowly, but every day a bit more!

Light: still 15 1/2 hours of sunlight per day, not as dazzling anymore as it was in summer. Autumn-sun is kind of warmer, softer light, shining through the gleaming forests, especially after short rain falls

Training? No... not yet. We still have summer-guests here, although the group of "Karelian Explorer" out this week might more feel like autumn-guests! We will not start before mid-September, as we are busy with plenty of other things until then. But yes... it starts tickling, dogs and humans!

Winter-preparations: started... Alex and Roger have started now our own sled-runner-production to be able to react faster during wintertime!
