The first group of Bearstrail came back to the lodge yesterday, cold and frozen after a sudden, unexpected drop in temperatures to -26 C as coldest. We take it as Christmas-gift, as the ice on lakes and rivers gets much better with those temperatures. Bearstrail-Group 2 is expected back today and 2 groups of the winterweek "Basis" and "Plus" is already on the way back home.
We still pray for every additional centimeter of snow that we hopefully get soon. Not all the trails are open at the moment and those we use now are technically rather demanding, because of roots, rocks and stumps looking out from under the snow. A real challenge for the soon arriving guests of the christmas-week!
