Not a lot to say or show with pictures - just a short update from our July-high-season:
Our summer-team is getting smaller - as usual. Only a team of 4 left during July, because Caro & Cino, as well as Markus, left us with destination "back home to Switzerland". Caro & Cino were part of the team for almost 2 years and will enjoy the great mountains of Switzerland again soon, after touring a bit around Scandinavia by car. Markus was planned to be here for 3 months until end of May, but then spontaneously added 1 month. Now he has to go back to Switzerland as well to not get troubles with his employer there. We are convinced that all 3 will pass by Eräkeskus again sooner or later. To all of them a big Thank you for being part of the team and supporting us in kennels, lodge, kitchen or on tour. Have a good re-start in Switzerland! And as Roger is returning from Svalbard by mid-August, we are only a team of 4 at the moment.
Our puppies of the different litters are growing constantly and start developing their individual characters. Single-boy Tsar is happy with his mum and all the cuddles he gets, also daily short walks and since a few days now regular "real" food. The Bria-puppies got their first deworming (they did not like it...) and move very actively around the litter-box. The smallest, the Tosca-Pups, will soon open their eyes, but spend their whole day still by sleeping and drinking. By end of July we expect the last litter of this summer; pregnant mum Liisa is showing her big belly more and more. And before that, our baby-birds will be born... several nests can be found on our yard again. Pictures of the puppies you can find as usual - with regular updates - on our facebok-pages.
