First Snow, last Swim and more Colours

Yes, really! This snowman was built a few days ago, when we got our first snow of the season! By now it has "died" of course, but fun it was indeed!  Also the first trainings on snow were pure fun! For us, for the dogs and for our 5 Musher-Workshop-Guests in that week. The distances for the Bordertrail-Dogs were increased again, also the Bears-Trail-Dogs run now around 10 km per training. And even the Oldies could do their first very short fun-runs of the season! We really focus on training in those days and everybody gives his/her best... because in 2 months we will start our tour-season!

For a change during the Musher-Workshop we love to do the autumn-hikes and the overnight in our Aittokoski-cabin. Sadly there are no more berries or mushrooms to find, but luckily there are no more moskitos, moose-flies or other biting insects to find either! That's why hiking is a lot of fun, even if there is a bit of rain once in a while.

The growing Mulan-Pups enjoyed one of their probably/hopefully last swims in the lake. 4 out of 5 came back completely wet - they don't care! We take them away from the lakeside more and more, to avoid daily wet bundles in the straw-beds. Also the Bria-Pups of course enjoy their freeruns now in autumn - there is absolutely no lack of energy to find in all our puppies... To keep them happpy and powered-out every day - besides the normal training of the adults - needs a strict time-management and is not always easy...

While in the forests the colours are slowly reducing, leaves falling down, we saw a lot of colours during the last 2 weeks in our guestrooms "forest-side" and in the lodge. Painter Andi as "Work & Travel"-visitor completely refreshed 4 rooms, including bathrooms. They look really nice, bright and modern with the new paint! He also renewed parts of our bar in the lodge, as well as all doors and stools around bar and fireplace. Kiitos, Andi!

Last but not least: Summer 2020 is coming closer... since yesterday all our programs, dates and rates are online for coming summer-season. Check it out - there might be something for you!
