... is the season 2018/19 already! Crazily fast the weeks pass away, 10 weeks of the season are done, 8 weeks are in front of us. So far successfully completed, thanks to our motivated guests and guides, we have: 15 groups Bears Trail, 17 winterweeks and 4 Bordertrails, plus 4 weeks with special programs.
The snowcover is good, although the temperatures are rising and falling like crazy, like never before. Changes in temperatures of 30 degrees C within 24 hours are getting common and that's why some dogs already started to change their coat. We make the best out of it and are happy to have our doghouses in the most used cabins of Hähnijoki and Aittokoski, to give shelter to our athletes from extreme cold and wet spring-snow. The trails are changing also very fast, from icy hard to fresh snowcovered and soft-wet spring-like snow. So we are curious every morning, what the new day might bring us!
The days are getting longer, reaching already 9 hours 40 minutes today, plus a long period of dawn of course. Our guests enjoy the long afternoons with a lot of sun, exploring the area by snowshoes or skis, making walks with our veterans or relaxing in the sun outside the overnight-cabins.
