New Adventures every Day!

10 really active days with our guests are behind us. As guides we finally could show our guests again the best parts of North-Karelia and it really was a good feeling! A selection from the last days:

- Hiking around Lakes Änäkäinen
- Paddling on River Mukajoki and Jongunjoki
- Hiking in the Reposuo-Nature-Reserve
- Paddling on River Hähnijoki
- Cross Lake Pielinen with speedboat and go hiking & chairlifting in Koli-Nationalpark
- Transfer to Patvinsuo-Nationalpark for longdistance-hiking
- 2-days-Biketour to the Aittokoski-cabin
- 2-days-Paddlingtrip on River Valamajoki/Jongunjoki with overnight in Wilderness Cabin

3 active families plus single travellers and other groups were guests here at the same times. That brings life to the yard, what we missed a lot in the last weeks/months :-) Many helping hands for the kennel works, nice talks during dinnertime, our kitchen was in full swing to satisfy also the young guests. By now, many of them have left again and it is more peaceful again on the yard.

Sadly the Finnish government closed the borders again for Swiss and Austrian travellers, due to a rising number of new infections in those countries. At the moment the new rules are set up until August 27th. That means for many of our clients again a cancelled trip or uncertitude, if they will be allowed to travel later. This Up & Down with travel restrictions makes it very difficult for us and our visitors, is nerve-wracking and not nice to live with. Only by keeping hygiene in mind and stay away from big events, we all can have a small impact on how the situation will change in near future. "Back to Normal" should be the target for all of us, soonest possible, but not too fast!

We mentionned the drainage from the dog-poo-container in the last news. This project could be finished in recordbreaking 2 days with fabulous teamwork by all of us. Literally everybody was digging, shoveling, moving stones... and everything is working now perfectly! Even heavy rains once in a while could not disturb the system. Big thanks to all the helping hands and project-coordinator Gabriel!
