Still up & down of Temperatures

Winter 19/20 will definitely remain in our memories as the craziest winter since Eräkeskus was established.  Yes, we still have crazy ups and downs in temperatures. Last week we had plus-degrees many times, the fresh snow from the last news was melting away. We also had a bit of rain. And this morning we had again fresh snow.  We don't want to complain, but we dream of a bit more constant winter-conditions here. Would be nice, if the snow-cover could finally increase more, our trail-crew would appreciate that a lot as well!

Despite the weather, our highseason runs! This week we could lead 1 group of Bordertrail, 2 groups Bears Trail, 1 winterweek "Plus" and 1 "Polar", as well as a Karjala-Mökki-group on our trails. And they sure take all some unforgettable memories back home tomorrow and Sunday.

A special goodie were the marvellous northern lights this week. They appeared very late in the evening, sadly some guests and workers missed them, as they were already asleep. The photos from Dennis might give an impression. We had some nice sunny days as well, one day even a beautiful halo on the horizon. Yes, days are getting longer and the power of the sun is increasing! Great conditions for photographers!

And last but not least: the planning of season 20/21 goes on. We work on several changes in trails/routes and step by step we will be able to tell more details about our programs for coming winter. Just a bit more patience... there are many other things to do at the same moment!
