Get out of town, away from the snow-less areas of your hometown, dive into the winter-wonderland of North-Karelia! Sadly not everybody has a full week to stay away, that's why we welcome you here at Eräkeskus with our short-program for beginners. 2 dogsled-rides of different length are included in the basic package. Of course you can add more nights and activities, according to your plans. Combine a short wintry stay here with a visit of the Capital Helsinki or a realxing ferry-crossing of the Baltic Sea. Welcome in our winter for a few days!

Day 1: Individual arrival in Eräkeskus. If needed, we can organise a taxi-transer from Lieksa, Joensuu or Kuopio. Dinner, getting to know the guide and overnight stay in the guesthouse.

Day 2: After breakfast you will get your equipment and the theoretical introduction to sledding. The first ride after that takes 1 to 1 ½ hours depending on the ability of the group. We will serve the training soup to the dogs immediately after returning in the kennel, later you eat lunch with your guide and discuss the sled ride. The rest of the afternoon is at your free disposal. In the evening we serve a 3-course-dinner in the lodge. 

Day 3: Today we drive for the second time with the dog sleds through the snowy Finnish nature. After the easy introductory lap we are riding some more challenging trails today. We will harness our dog teams together, as we will do it during the whole week and distribute snacks to our hard-working runners afterwards. Ride duration 2 - 3 hours. Later we will have lunch soup in the lodge and the rest of the afternoon is free. 3-course-dinner is served again in the restaurant in the evening.

Day 4: Enjoy your breakfast in the lodge before leaving back home or continue your journey. If needed we can organise a transfer to Lieksa, Joensuu or Kuopio.
