Saturday or Sunday
Arrival at Kuopio Airport and guided evening-transfer to Eräkeskus. Here your dinner is served in the lodge and you get to know your guide. Overnight in our guesthouse in rooms with private shower/toilet.
Sunday - Friday or Monday - Saturday
Individual winter week at Eräkeskus Wilderness Lodge. Overnights in our guesthouse in rooms with own shower/toilet, daily sauna, breakfast-buffet, soup-lunch and 3-course-dinner is included. Skis, snowshoes and icefishing-equipment is for free daily use. Following activities are planned for the week with one of our guides:
- Huskytour for beginners: We show you our kennels and the different types of sleddogs. After a detailed driving instruction and theory, we harness the dogs together, attach them to the sled and start out for our first trip. You drive your own team with 4 – 5 dogs
- 2 additional trips with sleddogs: driven distance is adjusted to your/the groups physical condition and capabilities, as well of course depends on temperatures and trail-conditions
- Snowshoe-Tour incl. lunch on open fire in the nature resort of the Änäkäinen Lakes
- 2 days are for your own, individual plans, of which one is normally Saturday (for Sunday-arrivals) or Sunday (for Saturday-arrivals). The other day off is in the middle of the week.
