When gloves are not needed any longer, when sunglasses are put on already in early mornings, when during the day we get too warm and want to drive only in fleece, no more overalls or padded trousers,... then spring is here! Plus degrees during the day, but still stable minus degrees in the nights keep our trails still in a very good condition.
The highlights from the last weeks:
the 7-person group "Tom", which we guided over Hovivaara to Ruunaa, over the Koskikierros and back home, spitted up in 2 groups.
The scooter race in the village Nurmijärvi, after which we had to repair some parts of our trails or make new ones to avoid the bad places, but thanks to the help of the scooter club, all is done. And sure for our guests as visitors, this event was a special thing to see!
The exclusive tour with Andreas and Dirk, who were already here in 2006 and started out on tour again with almost the same dogs as 7 years before. Well done, veterans!
The exclusive tour with Maria, Erwin and Markus: 6 days sledding with almost always perfect weather. Erwin, a sled-veteran with 12 tours experience and 74 years old, said this was his best tour ever and the nicest, but most demanding trails he has seen.
The Easter weekend: we were so busy with a group on tour, arriving and departing guests, that we had time to paint our easter eggs only on Sunday afternoon...
There are many more highlights; actually every week, every tour is a highlight.
Tomorrow we start out on Bears Trail again with 2 groups, the season goes on until 22nd April and we look foreward to those last spring runs under blue sky and sunshine. Alex is already in his well deserved holiday, Patrick and Nadia start soon and we, the others here, enjoy the few days off here at home!
