Day-by-Day-Program
An easy canoe- or kayak-trip for beginners, families and everybody else. We start the tour right here in Eräkeskus and follow river Lieksanjoki for the first 16 km, before we arrive in Lake Pankajärvi. Here a real paddlers paradise waits for us: uncountable islands, lonely beaches, untouched shores.
We know many beautiful overnight places along this route: either windshelters with fireplaces or wild-romantic lake- or river-shores where we can put up our tent in pure wilderness. We are paddling, until we get tired or until we find a place that seems to be perfect for our overnight. There we prepare our dinner on open fire and enjoy the beauty of the long light Finnish summer nights. And the next day is the same... we paddle until we get tired, as far and as long as we want. Lake Pankajärvi as final destination is a perfect area for spending paddling days, as its eastern side is almost completely "off the beaten track". From village Pankajärvi we get a transfer back at a time we decide just shortly before - just to make sure the car is there, when we are there.
