Wanna get out of town? Forget about grey, wet winter in your area, leave for a refreshing trip to the land of Kalevala and try out your dogsledding-skills in North Karelia!
Only a few hours by car there is the wide and lonesome area of frozen lakes, swamp and forest - in the middle of nowhere, near the Russian Border. Here, near our Eräkeskus Wilderness Lodge, with almost no scooter traffic, we are driving with our dog sleds. Experience a new adventure and enjoy 2 rides with your own team of enthusiastic, gentle and adorable sleddogs. Listen to the sound of their trotting paws and the silently crunching snow under your runners.

Daily program
Day 1: Arrival by your own, meet your guide, 3-couse-dinner at 7pm
Day 2: After breakfast bufft you get your driving instructions and explanation about sledding. Then we will prepare and harness the dogs together, drive about 10-12km and return to the lodge. All dogs get a meat soup before we bring them back to the kennels. Your lunch is served in the lodge, rest of day for own activities or sauna. Dinner is served as well in the restaurant.
Day 3: After breakfast buffet we prepare our sleds and harness the dogs again to start out for a 18-20km tour and return for a late lunch to the lodge. After having our soup together there is enough time for relaxing in front of the open fireplace, another sauna or more activities by your own. Dinner again served in the restaurant.
Day 4: Last breakfast and then time has come to say Goodbye: "kiitos, hey".
