Winter is soon over - and as always in those times, we have to say bye to some of our staff members who were here for a season or shorter or longer.
First one who left was Wiebke, who was here during whole March to support us as volunteer in a busy time. Big Thanks to her for a short but good time. Even it was so short, Wiebke immediately found access to all dogs and other tasks and was a really big help in those last weeks. For her, the normal live has started again, back at work as paramedic in Germany.
Last Monday, Stefan left here as well. He was part of the team since Christmas for a practical stay. As educated animal keeper, he was fast very close to the dogs and did a great job. In the end of his stay he could also take part in a border trail-tour as co-guide. He is now back in Germany, looking for a new appartment and starting a new job as dog trainer. Thank you Stefan for the 3 months and all the best for your future!
And coming Sunday, Ornella will leave here for a long, challenging roundtrip through Scnadinavia. She will be accompanied by her malamute Ilaka and our hunter Chippo, for them also a new challenging time starts soon! We wish her a safe trip and look foreward to see her again.
Parts of our dogs are already enjoying her summer-break. Daylong sun-bathing is on their program. Other dogs are still kept in good form, as they will be used for another week-tour starting on Monday. Despite weather and trails are really like in spring, we hope for a nice last tour of the season. Sun and blue sky seem to be guaranteed!
