It is over! Our season 14/15 has officially ended yesterday, when our 2 last customers left to the airport. Beate and Cornelius, thanks for having spent this last week with us! You are great persons, it was good fun with you! Thanks of course also for your understanding about snow-conditons and that in the 2nd part of your week we had to switch sleds with snowshoes.

To all our guests! Warmest Thank You for your trust in Eräkeskus and that you have spent your holiday with us! We were lucky to get to know many new faces and many known faces were coming back! And some of them we see again already in summer or for next winter. It is our pleasure to host you for the most important weeks in your year!
To all our awesome dogs! For your ever-lasting motivation, your enthusiasm in front of the sled, your patience with us and our guests! You are truly the best and have more than deserved now your long summer-break! Over 216'000 km you were pulling us all over the north-carelian nature! The "young wild" ones of course having collected the most of km on their account, but every single one of you gave everything he/she was able to give! Truly amazing pack of dogs - we love you!
To all our partners in the tourism industry! Thank you so much for sending us again and again so nice customers! We are lucky to have you as partner and look forward to our next season with you!
To the whole team, because this season wouldn't have been possible without you! Big Thank You to everybody: Alex, Corinna, Erik, Frank, Konstantin und Sanne! You as well have more than deserved now your holiday! Enjoy it! And of course our short-term-helpers: Daniela in January, Stefan in February, Wiebke at the very end of the season and of course Ornella, who was always available when we called her for help and who brought some calm in the hustle and bustle of the high season.
It was the best season ever in the long history of Eräkeskus. Often we were close to our limits, from dogs side and from humans side. But thanks to 120% commitment of everybody we managed everything and every special wish or changes in program could be realised. The snow came in time for the first week of the season and it stayed until 3 days before the last customers left. 25 groups Bears Trail, 3 weeks Exclusive, 12 groups Border-Trail and 17 groups Winter-Week or Winter-Week Plus we could serve. Added by day-trips for our Russian Friends and for visitors of the Biathlon-World-Championship in Joensuu. It was not easy to provide enough of days off to all the dogs and humans!
Now it is over, winter 14/15 has gone. Even though there were 5 cm of fresh snow this morning, we are now looking forward to spring, summer and warm temperatures. Sleds get stored away and repaired, lines and harnesses get checked. And soon we can go paddling again and get everything reday for summer 15!
