... and today is a rainy day again. We can rely on this now since a good while. So the activities are mainly done on the sunny days, hiking is still very popular, paddling needs a bit more willpower. And on the rainy days or guests enjoy the open fire in the lodge, go for a short mushroom-pick or get treated with a massage.
Our new trainig-car for the big teams, a small Peugeot, is almost ready to start the autumn training. But we officially start it only beginning of October. Until then we concentrate in getting our first 3 new team-members into our system. Alexandra, Carolin and Cino started working here beginning of September and get to know everything. Beginning of October then well-known Frank will join the team again and also Caro, Svenja and Valentin will arrive here. From then on we will have enough hands available to do a regular training for all dogs. Nevertheless, our first musher-workshop-guests, arriving mid-September, will get to know the training of dogs on sand, as we already train some small teams once in a while.
The real coloured Indian Summer obviously was skipped here this year. Around our yard, the birches changed mostly from green straight to brown and now the leaves start to fall down. But just a few kiometers away, we can find really beautifully coloured forests. Seems to be a very "regional" Indian Summer 2017. But when it comes to mushrooms, this autumn is just great!
