Countdown: 1 week...

... to go before the season starts officially with the first 2 groups on Bears Trail. We have snow, we have ice, and almost every day we can open a new part of our trail net, so thumbs up for a perfect start into the season 16/17.

The days are very short right now, meaning that we have to train parts of our dogs every day in the dark. Luckily we have good headlights, so this is getting routine for us. To our soon arriving guests: remember to take your own headlight; you will use and appreciate it during the cabin overnights.

Today Alex is starting to the first cabin-trip with sleds, Alexandra and with our last workshop-guest of this season. No more atvs in the cabins! So we could actually declare the inofficial season-start today, or at least call it a final training before the official start. Although the thermometer is rather close to zero today, we have no reason to worry. There is enough snow and we will survive this day without problems. From tomorrow on, temperatures will be back down in 2-digit-minus-level, then the trails get really fast...
