The perfect May has come to an end and weather changed to much colder autumne-like temperatures and a lot of rain! But not as much as in Central Europe... Therefore the dogs are hiding a lot in their dog-houses and relax.
While the Ruby-Pups are already learning to eat from their own bowl, Marju gave birth last Friday to our second summer-litter. 5 puppies were born, father is Fluffy. If Liisa would soon come in heat as well, this would make our litter-planning 2016 complete, but sadly so far she shows no signs. Maybe this 3rd litter has to be postponed to next year.
The first paddling-group on river Jongunjoki mastered all white-water parts nicely and went back home with a lot of good memories. The next group starts out soon. Also week-guests in the lodge arrive soon, a lot of them. So right now, last chance for some of us to get a holiday before the high-season starts.
Our volunteer Anna is now already 1 1/2 months with us and doing a great job! A big Thank You to her for her help and the good work! While other volunteers happen to think sometimes after 5 days, that there is nothing to learn at Eräkeskus and leave 12 hours after that information, it is good to see how others do the job with a lot of motivation and joy. Therefore once more: thank you, Anna!
