Our first summer-guests have arrived and thanks to really warm summer-temperatures of 20C and more, they could enjoy a real summer-holiday. The first moskitos have arrived as well, but not many yet, and probably after the last 3 nights with refreshing temperatures around zero, many of them have already left again. We did not get any highwater-levels this spring, all lakes and rivers have normal water levels for this time of the year. On 1st of May, there was still plenty of ice on the lakes, 3 days later, the waters were all open and very shortly after, also the last corners of snow and ice were gone and everything has dried up perfectly.
Our pups are growing very fast and spend now almost all day long out in the sandy playgrounds of the puppy-house, together with mummy Ruby. Only for short naps they come inside the dog-house. Real outdoor-dogs! Daniel is building new racks for our growing fleet of canoes and kajaks. The dogs from the new kennels were happy today on their first free run. Everybody has enjoyed a swim in the Lake Puuruu. The hiking trail Karhunpolku has dried up nicely and is ready for hikers or bikers. The renovations on our lodge-roof are going on, about half of the roof is now new. And once in a while, when we have no special projects going on, we enjoy sitting in the sun, stretch the legs and pay ourselves a cold beer!
