Finnish summer is so far presenting itself from the best possible side. Not many times in earlier years we had such a warm month of May and hardly ever we could swim in the lake already end of May. Not bad, compared to a rather wet and cold summer in so many more southern places! And as our days are already so long (sunrise 03h13, sunset 22h42) we can really enjoy those nice days all day long! What else could we ask for!?
Our pups have experienced their first car ride to Lieksa and visit at the vet for first vaccination and microchip. All went well, no problems in car! But of course they enjoy the daily puppy walks and their crazy games much more!
Our new roof is ready and looks good! Also the new floor in the restaurant is finished, we just need to put all the furniture back in...
And: looks like not only we are enjoying the Karelian Summer. Rarely seen visitors like reindeer and pheasant have been observed. Sadly also the first snakes.., we would definitely not miss them if they move away!
All in all: so far a great summer! We are looking forward to more!
