Winter is here!

Earlier than we are used to it, winter has settled in now already in our area. Temperatures always below zero, -15 he coldest so far, makes the ice grow slowly but constantly thicker and safer. As there is only a bit of snow on it, the quality of the ice looks great, perfect black-ice, and soon we hopefully can go skating on it!  A little bit of white on the trails, getting a bit more every night, but of course on our training trailsm whever everyday many teams run over, it does not last long!

Slowly we can now see also, who of our oldies is still in shape and has motivation to join for several training days still during winter; or who of the oldies is really now "old" and will be out only for some very short loops here around the area, once in a while. And proudly we can inform that all of the youngsters are doing a great job and will jump into the gaps that the "old" Oldies leave in the teams.

The days are getting shorter, today only 7 hours 8 minutes long. But we enjoy rather a lot of sunny days recently; the air is cold and clear, giving us beautiful moments during sunrise and sunset! If weather continues like that, we will soon be on the sleds!
