Short News from the Low-Season

Summer has left again... with current temperatures between -5 C in the night and maximum +5 during daytime, we cannot even speak about "spring"... We are very curious how the first 3-day-hiking-trip, which is booked from 17th - 19th May, will be...  Should we pack also the snowshoes?  We are very keen on getting some warm days finally, but not yet in near future! All forest paths are still snow covered, lakes are still 95 % ice-covered; but we do have summer-tyres on all our cars!

Still.. life goes on here! 3 rooms are re-furnished in those days. All sleds and all winter equipment is stored away and waiting for next winter-season. The Tundra-pups are learning to behave while we cut their nails. Nella and Goa get their daily collar- and leash-training.  Kennels are shoveled snow- and ice-free and can soon dry out nicely. And hopefully soon we have access by car to the winter-cabins, so we can then also start the cleaning there and get our dog-stuff back.

Dennis joined our team beginning of this month. He starts to know the new kennels, proved already that he is a very good cook and handycraftsman as well and knows how to handle cleaning-equipment. The perfect Allrounder for our team and we look forward to send him out as guide during the next season. We wish you very welcome, Dennis, have a great time her!
