First Advent-sunday has gone and we also had lighted up the first candle - although we are without guests for a while. The next ones arrive coming Saturday and then we are never without them for a long while... until well into April!
We could cross the lakes during the last days on the ice and yesterday we got a nice snow cover. We start thinking about taking out the sleds... Shovels and snowbrooms are well in use already!
Outside the cabins Hähnijoki and Aittokoski we have now installed 2 x 25 new doghouses for our 4-legged athletes to be safe and warm during the tour-season starting soon. Every dog getting a single room - or being allowed to sleep in the cabin!
At the moment we still train on wheels, for safety reasons. But the distances get now even longer on snow and soon the dogs are ready for the first week-trips. Supposing we get tomorrow the same amount of snow what we got yesterday, then we will be able to open the frist sled-trails by coming weekend!
