About 10`000 km by bike and colourful activities

At the beginning of this week we had overnight-visit by Michael Cramer, who initiated and finished the uncredibly long bike-trip "Iron Curtain Trail" in different parts over the last years. Respect! What a performance! Starting at the Black sea, the trail leads along the borders of Bulgaria, Rumania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany, along the Baltic Sea coastline to Russia and along the Finnish border up to the Barents Sea. His last missing part was from here to Kuhmo, he has finished it now and is certainly back home again. Michael wrote different travel books about his trail; they can help those who want to do at least parts of the distance themselves, showing maps, route descriptions, a lot of travel tipps, height profiles etc. Thank you, Michael, for visiting us on your journey - it was our pleasure! And congratulation again!

By now, our forests and swamps start to get coloured. Thanks to mild temperatures and a lot of sun we could still enjoy great active days with guests during last week. The last hiking in the forests, the last overnight-paddling-trip, the last freeruns with the New Kennels, last pool days with old Kennels, ... who knows, how long these beautiful days still last. Officially our summer comes soon to an end. For 10 more days we have summer-guests here, followed by a short guest-free period for us. And end of September the first Musher-Workshop-guests arrive already. Still we have a bit too warm days and too high humidity in the air to start the training of the dogs. But we keep a constant eye on weather forecast... hoping for a soon change!

So: stay tuned! We come back with the first training impressions soon!
