Mittsommer!

In Finland, Juhannus celebrated the Midsummer Festival on the last weekend (always on Saturday between 20 and 26 June). Traditionally always with a big fire, which we ignited this year on the lake, because the forests are too dry now.

New guests, who already spent the winter with us, could experience the distance from the airport to us without snow. There was also a small stop at the open-air theatre.

Roan, our volunteer from Holland, has fun at work, but after 4 weeks of help in all areas, it ends soon again. Flavia will also leave us soon, but more about that on our Facebook page on the day of departure.

We continue repairing and tinkering at our kennel beautifications. We would like to thank Nina and Leo for bringing us the great name tags.

Siri, who accompanies Simone on her holiday through Norway, enjoys this trip to the full. We wish you a relaxing and wonderful time.

And finally: this young woodpecker probably flew out of the nest too early on a stormy day. But luckily, he wasn't badly injured and was fed again and again by his mother on the ground. We hope he survived and that he is well.
