Already in 10 days our Christmas-Guests will arrive and we will officially open the tour-season. That's always a busy time in the year with a lot of final preparations going on. Since a few days we can train our dogs now with the sleds and the vehicules were put beside or changed to snow-plowing atv's.
In our Aittokoski-cabin we got installed a new heat-pump, while the doghouses for our powerful athletes are already prepared and waiting for the first group.Here on the yard we are snowshoveling about every day to keep the buildings and kennels accessible. All sleds are ready, trails are prepared and get marked, ice lanterns are iunder constructioon, many tasty ideas for our festive 5-course-dinners are existing (we just have to chose one). The guest-infos for the rooms are upated, the lodge gets decorated, Petra was baking hundreds of Christmas-cookies. Yes, this is final countdown and we all look foreward to the season-opening!
As last but not least one for the winter-team, also Moritz is now back her in the team since yesterday - after a lot of flight-problems and so far without his bags. Conny as multi-repeater-guest is at the moment helping us to train the dogs and work in the kennels. And on Friday we look forward to a group of Finns for sleding and pre-christmas-celebrations.
Yes, this is Final Countdown and we expect again a load of snow during the coming weekend. So let's get ready for shoveling!
